
Lanes BBQ – Sweet and Savory Meatloaf
Prep
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Dice your red onion. In a skillet melt butter and sauté your Onion.
In a large bowl hand mix Ground Beef, Panko bread crumbs, 4 Large Eggs, Sautéed Onions, 1/2 cup Lane’s Kinda Sweet Sauce, 1/4 cup Worcestershire, and 2 tbsp Spellbound Rub until thoroughly mixed.
Form into a loaf on a baking sheet (use parchment paper) or use your loaf pan.
Cook
Bake at 350 degrees until internal temperature is about 140 (about 20 minutes depending on the loaf shape. Check the internal temp)
When the internal temp is 140 deg pull and baste 1/2 cup Lane’s Kinda Sweet Sauce and place back in the oven. Bake until internal temp is 155 to 160 degrees and pull.
Slice and serve!! The thicker, the better!
Meatloaf is and should always be a weekly family dinner staple. We could always count on mom making meatloaf once or twice a month. Well, this recipe straight-up kicks my mom’s meatloaf butt! If you tell her I said that I will call you a liar! This thick sweet meatloaf is what dreams are made of.
Ingredients:
- 2lb Ground Beef 80/20
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 4 large eggs
- 1 red onion
- 1/4 Unsalted Sweet Cream Stick butter
- 1 cup Lane’s Kinda Sweet BBQ Sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire
- 2 tbsp Lane’s Spellbound Seasoning

6. Bake at 350 deg until internal temperature is about 140 (about 20 minutes depending on the loaf shape – Check internal temp)
7. When internal temp is 140 deg pull and baste 1/2 cup Lane’s Kinda Sweet Sauce and place back in the oven.
8. Bake until internal temp is 155 to 160 degrees
9. Pull, Slice however you like to slice meatloaf, we slice at about an inch.
Recipe Note
1. **You can always add some green chiles for a smokey flavor
2. **Use a food processor to blend up some fire roasted. tomatoes.
3. **You can add shredded cheese if you would like. Or use pepper jack cheese if you want a little kick
